The Lodge building continues to be closed. We have postponed and/or cancelled all Lodge events until May 30, 2020. As a reminder we have tentatively postponed the Annual Fishing Derby to August 30, 2020. GREAT NEWS Effective immediately the Elks Pond will be open from 8:00am – Dusk every day for your enjoyment! We encourage you to use the facility for passive recreation while observing proper “Social Distancing” measures – which include having no more than 5 people in a gathering, maintaining a 6 foot separation from others and the use of a face mask in confined spaces. MEMBER’S LOUNGE UPDATE Remodeling and spruce-up work continues in the Member’s Lounge. The Hungerford St. side of the bar has been refinished and work continues on the other side. The ceiling has been sealed and will be painted with a light color to brighten up the space and we are preparing to replace the carpet in the complete Lounge area. The sound system is being updated and we are replacing all of the speakers. You may contribute to this cause by sending a check made out to B.P.O.E #372, to: PO Box 36, 70 Litchfield Street, Torrington, CT 06790. Or by credit card via our website: www.torringtonelks.com/about/dues-donations . Please write “372 Booster” in the memo space on your check, or if you donate with a credit card please choose “372 Booster” from the menu. We will continue to keep you informed via our Facebook page and the www.torringtonelks.com website. If you know of members who do not have access to Facebook or the internet, please share with them any new information. We continue to collect our 2020-2021 Membership Dues. If you have the means to do so we encourage you to send your payment in as soon as possible so that we can continue to support the Lodge and minimize the hours required to process the payments. Please mail your dues payment per the instructions provided to you, or you may pay online with a credit card at www.torringtonelks.com/about/dues-donations/ (a small transaction fee is required with your credit card payment but it saves you a stamp!)
